VECTRA WB360 in Park City
Total body skin mapping in 3D
At our Park City dermatology office, we use the VECTRA WB360 for 3D total body mapping. It captures your entire skin surface in a single, high-resolution scan, so your dermatologist has a detailed picture of every mole and spot, from head to toe.
It was designed specifically for dermatology, and it is one of the ways we support early skin cancer detection and melanoma screening. It works alongside a full-body skin exam, never in place of one. You still get time with your physician to talk through what we’re seeing, what we’re watching, and what happens next.
How It Works
From one scan to a map of your skin

One scan, whole body
92 cameras capture your entire exposed skin surface at once, with lighting made for imaging skin. The scan takes just one second, is painless, and is standardized, so every visit looks the same.
Every mole mapped and tagged
Your moles and spots are tagged on a 3D map of your body. Close-up images taken during your exam are linked to the same map, so each one has a place and a history.
Changes are easier to catch
At your next visit, we compare new images with your baseline. Spots that are new or have changed stand out, so we can act early.
Your images, in your hands
Between visits, you can review your own images through a secure, HIPAA-compliant patient portal, and check for changes at home.
Who It’s For
Is 3D total body mapping right for you?

Whole-body imaging can be especially useful if you have any of the following:
- Many moles, or moles that are large or irregular
- A personal or family history of skin cancer or melanoma
- Fair skin that burns easily
- A history of significant sun exposure, including a life spent outdoors at altitude in Park City and Heber
- A skin condition we want to document and track, such as psoriasis or vitiligo
Questions
3D total body mapping, answered
What is 3D total body mapping?
3D total body mapping is a full-body skin check that starts with a detailed 3D photograph of your skin. We use the VECTRA WB360 to capture your whole exposed skin surface in a single scan, then map and tag your moles and spots. At every visit, we compare new images with your baseline, so changes are easier to see.
Does the VECTRA WB360 replace my skin exam?
No. The imaging supports your exam, it doesn’t replace it. Your dermatologist still examines your skin in person, and we still take the time to talk through what we’re seeing, what we’re watching, and what happens next.
Does the scan hurt, and is there radiation?
The scan is painless. It uses photography and light, not X-rays, so there is no radiation. Nothing touches your skin during the capture.
How often should I be scanned?
It depends on your personal risk, your skin, and your history. Your dermatologist will recommend a schedule based on your exam. Many patients return once a year for a full-body skin check.
